Leaf-Cutter Ants

Leaf-cutter ants have 3 main ants. The workers, soldier, and queen.
The workers are the smallest and it does most of the work. It has pincers which they cut parts of leafs off so they can put the part of the leaf in their home. Mushrooms grow on it that's what leaf-cutter ants eat. They also alert the soldier ant to defend the nest. It also feeds the colony.
The soldier is the ant that defends the colony. Was used for making stitches because it had such a big head it was big enough for healing wounds. So they put the ant on the wound till it bit through the wound and stitched it up. Then they tore off the head and it was good to go.
The queen is the most important ant because it has the kids. It also is the biggest ant in the colony and the most protected ant in the colony. The queen depends on the colony to feed her and care for her.
The Leaf-cutter ants are a remarkable species.
