Lianas

Lianas can grow up to 3,000 feet. The Liana is usually on the forest floor and can get all the way to the Canopy layer. Lianas can live in the rainforest. The Liana has thick, woody stems and also has many various lengths. They climb on or around trunks of trees and branches. They are flexible shoots and have been known to grow rapidly.
To survive the Liana needs sunlight, water, minerals, and shelter. They also have threadlike tendrils that attach tightly to nearby vegetation or other objects tightly. Many Lianas also have grapevines, greenbrier, and Virginia creepers.
